Infobitt: Wikipedia co-founder prepares to make history again

You know Wikipedia, right?  Who doesn’t.  It’s now the top result for most searches, so much do we now rely on it for information.  Well Larry Sanger its co-founder is up to some new revolution called Infobitt.

It’s not yet public but some people have been invited to beta-test it.  I received the invite on October 11 and here’s relevant info from the email Larry sent.

“No one has crowdsourced front page news before–because people expect the news to be high-quality, and nobody has figured out how to crowdsource consistently high-quality content. Infobitt aims to be the first. We will engage, when launched, a huge number of people both to create and read a front page news site.”

I think it’s worth a look-out.
