Spots in Lagos: Dominos Pizza & Cold Stone Creamery

Summary tip to try: Founders’ Favourite Ice Cream at Cold Stone Creamery.

I used to be fat and Pizza and Ice Cream were to blame. I’m no longer fat (I think…) but I still love my Pizza and Ice Cream. My focus today is on Cold Stone Creamery that is installed with many Dominos outlets.

Yesterday I went with a friend to the Dominos outlet at Ajah (on the Lekki Epe Expressway, before Abraham Adesanya Estate). I like that one because they have very welcoming sitting areas, downstairs, but especially upstairs. Before going upstairs to Cold Stone Creamery proper, we bought some chicken downstairs. My friend had “Chicken Wings” (N1,800), while I had “Chicken Kickers” (N1,600). Her Chicken wings were… well, Chicken wings, with a cup of ketchup for dipping. Since I have an aversion for any recognizable part of Chicken (gives me goose bumps, though I love Chicken), I welcomed the “Kickers” which was like some mashed chicken. Nice… but I soon got tired of it. It must have been dipped in some reddish stuff. Anyway, too “foody” or “filling”.

The best part always for me was the Ice Cream at Cold Stone. As usual, I asked for “Founder’s Favourite”. My friend hadn’t tried it before and I had the pleasure of letting her see how nice it was. You haven’t tried Cold Stone “Founder’s Favourite?”. You should. And asked them to crush the waffles inside. It’s good. Price for the medium cup was N2,600.

Hey, I'll like to hear from you - drop a line :)
